The onetime director of an Imperial weapons development complex, he was contaminated in a radiation experiment. After that, Dr. Arakkus lived in an abandoned Imperial transport amid a graveyard of ships circling a collapsing star. He was killed in an explosion after Han Solo ignited a negatron charge to free his Millennium Falcon from the gravitational pull of the star.
