Terak is the cruel and evil king that ruled the Marauders of Endor. Many years ago when the Marauders captured the stranded scout named Salak, he spoke of his starship hidden in the forests. Salak told of how the vessel traveled through the stars, capable of doing so by the "power."

While what Salak spoke of was everyday technology in much of the galaxy, the Marauders were primitive exiles that longed to leave Endor. They sought the "power" of the stars that Salak spoke of.

In their quest, King Terak and his Marauders mistook the stranded star cruiser of the Towani family for Salak's ship, and killed its crew for the "power." The family's youngest member, Cindel Towani, escaped. Terak was convinced that she held the key to unlocking the power crystal, and ordered her captured. His accomplice, the Dathomirian Nightsister named Charal, used her shape-shifting abilities to lure Cindel into a trap, and brought the captured girl before Terak. Cindel was unable to do anything with the power crystal, so Terak had her imprisoned. He also threw Charal into the dungeon for her failure, and took the magical ring that was the source of her transformation abilities.

Cindel was eventually freed by Noa Briqualon, Salak's partner. Terak confronted Noa, and the two dueled to gain the power drive crystal. During the fight, Wicket W. Warrick used his sling to strike the magic ring worn around Terak's neck. The ring activated, and the evil Marauder was burned to a crisp.

Terak was a huge humanoid, standing over two meters tall. He had green-gray skin, a noseless face, and a white beard and hair. He wore long robes, and golden armor. Terak armed himself with a massive machete.
